Dr. Jennifer L. Connors

Education: Doctor of Physical Therapy from Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professionals, Bachelor of Clinical Science, Ithaca College and a Master of Science in Physical Therapy, Ithaca College

Certifications: Licensed Physical Therapist, Pediatric Clinical Specialist and CPR certified.

Experience: Jennifer began working at Jump Start in 2004. She also continues to be employed at Children's Hospital, where she initially started in 1995. Jennifer has experience in both the inpatient, including direct care in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and outpatient setting. Other experience includes Early Intervention through the Easter Seals Program as well as home care. Jennifer has lectured on many topics including cerebral palsy and spina bifida, both at Simmons College and the MGH Institute of Health Professions. She has been published in the Pediatric Physical Therapy Journal on the use of Parental Developmental Questionnaires, and more recently had a monograph published on Adolescent Idiopathic Scoliosis through the American Physical Therapy Association. Jennifer has also spoken at the National Physical Therapy Conference. She is actively involved in research at Children's looking at patients with hip dysplasia and femoral acetabular impingement. She is currently the consultant to the Adolescent and Young adult hip program as well as the Cerebral Palsy Clinic at Childrens, and has experience in the spinal program, spina bifida clinic, Developmental Evaluation Clinic, and Down Syndrome Program. Jennifer has also attended many continuing education courses both on pediatric and general orthopedic topics. She has also participated in collaboration with Jump Start and Children's Hospital lecturing on ACL prevention. Jenn is currently pursuing her Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy.
